Diana and Charles relaxing with royals: Unseen photographs from ‘80s to be auctioned A REMARKABLE private collection of unseen candid photographs of Diana, Princess of Wales and the Royals during a shooting party has been unearthed. They date from the early 1980s and show a relaxed Diana and Prince Charles in the honeymoon early years of their marriage relaxing with other members of the Royal family away from the public gaze. The selection of fascinating images belonged to the late housekeeper of Princess Alexandra, the Queen's cousin, and were discovered by her son in a drawer following her death. The vendor's mother was Alexandra's housekeeper at Thatched House Lodge in Richmond, London, in the 1980s. In one striking image, Diana is wearing a green coat and a scarf

BIG NEWS: We are happy for Prince William who missed 2017 commonwealth service just to celebrate this

Prince William, Royality
The 2017 Commonwealth service took place yesterday at Westminster Abbey, with Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip, Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall all in attendance. There were, however, two people visibly absent from the annual multi-faith celebration: the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Luckily for everyone, Prince Harry was on hand to represent Kensington Palace at the Commonwealth service, doing a stellar job. Prince William’s absence was explained when photos emerged of the 34-year-old royal enjoying a boys skiing holiday on the slopes of Verbier with close friends, enjoying the Swiss après-ski life until the early hours. Whilst William is unwinding in Switzerland, Kate is said to be enjoying some family time before the couple head to Paris together this weekend. T

Duchess of Cambridge celebrates 35th birthday

Catherine Duchess of Cambridge, Royality
The Duchess of Cambridge celebrates her 35th birthday today. Kate is expected to mark the occasion privately with the Duke of Cambridge and her children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, ahead of her first public engagements of the new year. There were no clues about how she would spend her special day when she appeared with the Royal Family at church in Sandringham on Sunday where the Queen was in attendance for the first time since a heavy cold kept her away from services over the festive period. Kate, wearing a grey furry hat and a forest green coat and black heels, walked the short distance to the church with smartly-dressed William. But there was no sign of George or Charlotte. The rest of the Middleton family, Kate's sister Pippa, mother Carole, father Michael and brother J...

From Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to Charles’ coronation When will Prince Charles be king?

Queen Elizabeth II, Royality
What happens when the Queen dies? From Queen Elizabeth’s funeral to Charles’ coronation AS the Queen continues to battle a heavy cold, Britons are wond ering what will happen when she eventually dies. The Queen has been fighting to shake off the cold for almost a fortnight and missed Christmas and New Year’s Day church services at Sandringham. On December 30, Buckingham Palace was forced to deny rumours that the Queen had died after rumours of her demise spread on Twitter. A fake BBC News Twitter account tweeted: “BREAKING: Buckingham Palace announces the death of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 90. Circumstances are unknown. More to follow.” The hashtag #mediablackout trended throughout the night as it emerged that if the Queen were to die during the night, an announcement woul

Instead of being placed in Westminster Hall his body is expected to lie in St James’s Palace where Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid for several days after her death in 1997

Queen Elizabeth II, Royality
Prince Philip has said he doesn't want the 'fuss' of lying-in-state ahead of a full state funeral. Instead of being placed in Westminster Hall his body is expected to lie in St James's Palace where Diana, Princess of Wales, was laid for several days after her death in 1997. While arrangements for the Duke of Edinburgh's death are kept under constant review, the indication that he doesn't want the regalia of a state funeral will come as a relief to staff at the Palace of Westminster. They are kept on constant alert in case the Hall is needed for a funeral and must be able to have it ready with just six hours notice. A full refurbishment of the Palace of Westminster after the next election means that the whole building may have to close entirely while repairs are carried out. The last...
