An oufit from when she starred in Aladdin during the Second World War is to feature in the special exhibition Fashioning a Reign: 90 Years of Style from the Queen’s Wardrobe at Windsor Castle. The silk tunic and silk-satin embroidered trousers in which the then Princess Elizabeth appeared in the title role are among more than 30 outfits representing key moments in the Queen’s life and reign brought together in the third of three exhibitions marking the monarch’s 90th birthday year.
