Kate Middleton And Prince William’s Move To Kensington Palace Includes New Security Arrangements

Kate Middleton and Prince William are relocating their family to Kensington Palace, and with that move with comes new security arrangements.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have special plans in place for their move back to London, this according to Us Weekly’s March 13 issue. The magazine reports the royal couple plans to be a part of their 3-year-old son Prince George’s daily drop-offs at his future school, Wetherby Kensington School.

The pair is also reportedly scouting out preschools for Princess Charlotte, 1, and are said to be “looking forward” to their relocation.

New schools are not the only thing Kate and William are looking into. The couple is also said to be making “security arrangements” ahead of their move. Hello magazine reported last month that a team of gardeners were hard at work planting trees outside Kensington Palace to allow George and Charlotte some additional privacy. The tree is expected to create an 820-ft long wall nearby Kate and William’s Kensington Palace 1A apartment.

After a couple of years at Anmer Hall in Norfolk, England, the family of four will move to Kensington Palace in late August. While the brood will be leaving behind their 20-bedroom country home, there’s no doubt they’ll be comfortable in their sprawling 21-room apartment in London.

A source told US that William and Kate feel the move back to London will be a “new chapter” for them and will allow them to help participate in more charity functions.

“Their Royal Highnesses love their time in Norfolk and it will continue to be their home,” a statement released by palace in January reads.

“From this autumn, however, the Duke and Duchess will increasingly base their family at Kensington Palace. As they have in recent years, their royal Highnesses are keen to continue to increase their official work on behalf of the Queen and for the charities and causes they support, which will require greater time spent in London.”
