Maternity leave over, Princess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge returned to work full-force in September 2015. But it appears the Duchess of Cambridge is having difficulty organizing a harmonious schedule. Reading over the list of engagements fulfilled by the Royal family in 2015, Duchess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge had fewer responsibilities than Queen Elizabeth’s 79-year-old cousin Princess Alexandra.
Hounded by tales of ill health, Queen Elizabeth carried out more responsibilities than any other Royal. Is there anyone better to ask for advice about balancing motherhood and Royal life than Queen Elizabeth?
Her Majesty doesn’t completely understand nor agree with Duchess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge’s hand-on approach to being a mom. However, Queen Elizabeth does respect that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge choice not to leave Prince George and Princess Charlotte for weeks and months at a time entirely in the hands of nannies.

In 2015 Duchess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge had zero overseas trips on her schedule – Probably because the Duchess wasn’t permitted to travel while pregnant with Princess Charlotte. But what about 2016? Is Princess Catherine Duchess of Cambridge concerned that her Royal calendar will be filled with official overseas trips?
Unconfirmed Palace insiders divulge that Queen Elizabeth may compromise with Catherine Duchess of Cambridge. If the Duchess of Cambridge takes over several of Camilla Parker-Bowles receptions, lunches, dinner, banquets and a variety of other charity events then Queen Elizabeth will keep the Duke and Duchess’s joint overseas tours to a minimum.
But will the 67-year-old Duchess of Cornwall agree to that arrangement? It has previously been reported that Camilla Parker-Bowles is in ill-health – on doctor’s orders Camilla missed the 2015 Diplomatic Reception.
Most likely the Duchess of Cornwall isn’t going to agree to more overseas trips just so the Duchess of Cambridge can sit home at Kensington Palace or Anmer Hall and play mommy.
